Development of a Wireless Monitor That Remotely Visualizes Battery Status for AGVs/AMRs
B&PLUS has developed a wireless-compatible battery monitor module that can be used in combination with wireless charging systems for AGVs and AMRs. A prototype version was released on Friday, May 15, 2026, with the official release scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026.
This module acquires battery voltage, current, and SOC (state of charge / remaining capacity) in real time and enables remote monitoring of battery status via wireless communication. It is equipped with alert notification, log storage, and external signal output functions in the event of abnormalities, helping support safe battery operation and preventive maintenance.
Development Background
B&PLUS develops, manufactures, and sells wireless charging systems for AGVs, AMRs, UGVs, and similar applications. In recent years, proposals combining wireless charging systems with lithium-ion batteries have increased, and these solutions have been adopted by many customers.
At the same time, customers have expressed many requests such as:
- They want to monitor battery status remotely.
- They want to detect signs of abnormalities in advance.
- They want to respond quickly when trouble occurs.
- They want to keep records and use them for cause analysis and maintenance in the event of abnormalities.
In many cases, battery status is not sufficiently monitored, and signs of abnormalities may go unnoticed until problems occur. Another issue is that measurement data is not adequately stored or utilized, making it difficult to carry out preventive maintenance, identify deterioration trends, and operate equipment efficiently.
In response to these needs, B&PLUS has developed the wireless-compatible battery monitor module to visualize battery status and enable rapid response in the event of abnormalities.
Product Overview
This product is a module that measures, records, and displays voltage, current, and SOC in real time by connecting to the battery installed in an AGV, AMR, or similar equipment.
The acquired data is transmitted to a PC via wireless communication, allowing the battery status to be checked even from a remote location. This makes it possible to continuously monitor equipment operating status and battery health, contributing to more efficient inspection and maintenance work.
When an abnormality occurs, the module outputs an alert signal. By linking this signal with notification or stop processes on the system side, the module helps prevent trouble in advance and supports quick recovery.
The module also has a built-in function for storing voltage and current log data. This enables more advanced operation management, including visualization of battery usage history and cause analysis in the event of abnormalities.
In addition, the module is equipped with an external output (OUT signal) function. By outputting signals when an alert occurs or when charging is complete, it can flexibly interface with customer-specific control systems and equipment.

Connection Diagram

The battery monitor module is used by connecting one side to the positive and negative terminals of the battery and the other side to the positive and negative terminals on the load side.
By simply inserting the module between the battery and the load, battery status can be monitored, recorded, and transmitted wirelessly.
The connection diagram and screen images are scheduled to be released at the time of the official launch.
The screen shown is a PC monitoring screen. Battery information is displayed in real time. Because the battery and PC communicate wirelessly, the battery can be monitored accurately even when the PC is located in another room. The estimated usable range is 50 m.
The screen shown in the photo is a provisional version of the software. The software is currently under development, and specifications, display items, and other details may change. The actual screen is planned to display not only voltage values, but also current values, SOC, and other information.
